Five computer science courses can be taken for credit or noncredit via the Internet in 1998-99:

• CSCI E-13 Web Programming in Perl (Spring '99)
• CSCI E-131b Communication Protocols and Internet Architectures (Sample video available on course web site.) (Fall '98 and Spring '99)
• CSCI E-132 Advanced Topics in Data Networking Protocols and Network Architectures (Spring '99)
• CSCI E-207 Theory of Computation and Its Applications (Sample video available on course web site.) (Fall '98)
• CSCI E-215 UNIX Systems Programming (Spring '99)

Lectures will be recorded and made available, along with related course materials, 48 hours after the class using web-based multimedia technology. Students will have the option throughout the term of attending the lectures at Harvard and/or viewing the lectures over the Internet.
