Limited-Enrollment Courses |
||
|
Courses that are limited in enrollment are so noted in the individual course descriptions. Students are encouraged to register early for these courses, since many of them close well before classes begin. Admission to limited-enrollment courses is on a first-come, first-served basis. Special requests for admission to these courses, either from students or instructors, will not be honored. Students registered for limited-enrollment courses who do not attend the first class meetings risk forfeiting their seats in the courses. Students who list an alternate course on their registration forms for a limited-enrollment course that has closed will be enrolled in their alternate course if space is available; students who do not indicate an alternate course will be placed on a waitlist for the closed course, provided waitlist space is available. Students who are placed on waitlists are charged full tuition and must attend the first class meetings; those who do not attend these meetings risk losing their waitlist places. Placement on a waitlist is no guarantee of admission to a closed course. Students will be sent a revised confirmation notifying them of whether or not they have been admitted to the course as soon as their admission status has been resolved. Those who are not admitted and do not register for a replacement course will be issued a full-tuition refund including the registration fee. Students who do not wish to remain on the waitlist for a closed course must submit a written request to drop the course, according to the course withdrawal procedures. |
